The Yoga Shak in Swindon presented a very special charity edition of 'The Yoga Jam', a fun fuelled dynamic high-energy Yoga, live DJ fused event.
30 enthusiastic Yogi's turned up on Saturday midday where Yoga teachers Lauren Reynolds, Deborah Curtis and Jill Hoon took turns in guiding us through an inspiring, power vinyasa flow set, energetically syncing their unique styles and teachings to the sounds of chill phonic, electronic, upbeat dub and groove basslines. Delivered by the master Yoga DJ aka DJ Dex.
Our 2 hr Journey covered breath, sun salutes, standing postures, balances, backbends, inversions and finished off with a deep relaxation meditation.
It was a fantastic event which everyone thoroughly enjoyed and it raised awareness of the plight of the moon bears. Thanks to The Yoga Shak giving their time for free the event raised an incredible £495 which will go towards the rescue and adoption of Florence our new Swindon Bear. Thank you everyone for making this such a wonderful event. More photos on the gallery below.
Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. Together we have raised an amazing £1035.85 to help with the Nanning rescue and adoption of Florence bear.
A huge thank you to David and Sarah Stribbling for offering a portrait each to their favourite photo.
David Stribbling has chosen Laura Bailey's gorgeous photo of Edward her bearded collie as his winner because he loves doing action paintings and this is a fantastic photo with lots of energy and life to it.
Sarah Stribbling has chosen Kirsten Fenton's photo of Maisie as her winner because she loved it as soon as she saw it. She loves the eyes and how the colour of the blanket compliments them.
Runners Up: Sarah said.....This was a really hard choice as there were so many superb photos to choice from but I had to narrow it down to 3.
The Stribblings are offering a 15% discount on their usual commission prices to everyone who entered. Please contact us if you would like to have your photo painted.
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR MAKING THIS SUCH A HUGE FUNDRAISER FOR ANIMALS ASIA.
